Exchange 2003 placement Best practice ?
Hi,
I would like to know where to place an exchange server as the best practice.
I'm standing in front of an integration with another company's AD, and are going to start from scratch with installation and placement of servers.
The new domain starts with a controller in the eu.company.org, and my first controller in the local domain is dk.eu.company.org.
The new AD allready has exchange servers in place, but we want a local server, and the company we merge with, want to place "our" exchange in their domain (eu.company.org) i'm not sure, but i think it would be better in the dk.eu.company.org.
What do you think ? and what would the difference be for me as a local administrator ? I do not have admin priveleges on their domain, only on my local domain !
One more question, on what box do i install exchange ? Should it be on a AD server or on a member server or ?
All versions of exchange and windows is 2003.
Thanks
Kenneth
